Following Divine Liturgy, on Sunday, February 12 we celebrated the feast of the Presentation of our Lord Jesus Christ to the Temple. A special Blessing of the Children service took place where all parish youth were blessed by Fr. Daniel Karadjian. This is always a very special Sunday that Der Daniel has created for the children and the parish at large.
He invited all of the children to stand in front of the altar for the Blessing of the Children service. At the conclusion of the service, each child received a new cross. It was a special Sunday.

On Thursday, February 13 we celebrated the pre-feast of the Presentation of our Lord to the Temple.

At the conclusion of the “anticipatory service” we formed a small procession at the courtyard of our church where the festivities continued with the lighting of the bonfire. Fr. Daniel explained to our parishioners, (more than 15 families with their children) that the lighting of candles, the bonfire, and Antasdan symbolize the Light of Christ that illuminated the World with Salvation and life forever. The Christian faith that warms our souls and homes, like the flames of the fire burning before us will burn our sins and save us protecting us from our daily challenges.
