On October 15, 2017, Armenians and Non-Armenians alike gathered together for a cultural celebration hosted by St. Stepanos Armenian Church dedicated to the feast of The Holy Translators and the 2799th anniversary of our beloved capitol, Yerevan.

After the Sunday Badarak performed by Father Daniel Karajian, people were able to enjoy a beautiful concert  in the church sanctuary performed by two talented young members of the church, Lara Baktiarian and Ani Mouradian. Afterward, everyone gathered together in the reception hall for a delicious Armenian meal prepared by the ladies of St. Stepanos. In addition to the food, the ladies had also prepared an amazing play for the children to perform entitled “Summer Vacation.”

The children entertained guests by telling them about all their trips to Armenia, including the sights they saw, the places they went, and the things they learned, such as the Armenian Anthem (sung by two year old Sine Balbalian ) and a poem (recited by 5 year old Harutiun Avetisyan). Special recognition and thanks were given to all teachers of the children’s school of St. Stepanos. We are all very proud of our talented children, whom we hope to see in many performances to come. May God bless St. Stepanos Armenian Church and put his loving protection over Yerevan and all of Armenia. Happy Anniversary, Yerevan!
