With the request of some parents the young children’s group was split into Eastern and Western Armenian Language classes. Ten of the children in the Armenian classes, which start at 10:30 am are registered in the Sunday School which starts at 11:30 am. There are a total of 11 children in the Armenian School and 27 children in the Sunday School (which includes the 10).
There is one eighth grader this year (Tina Vartanian) who will graduate in May 2014. There are 4 new children that have joined the Sunday School in September and all 4 are in the Armenian School. Typically each Sunday the attendance is from 12 to 20 children.
Each Sunday we start the Sunday School with the Hayr Mer (Lord’s Prayer) in both English and in Armenian. It is wonderful to see the children’s faces when we recognize that they can say the Lord’s Prayer in both English and Armenian. After a little assembly, the children go into their classes.
