May 19 was a special day for the community of St. Stepanos Armenian Church, as members gathered to celebrate three significant events: the graduation of the Sunday school students, a ceremony honoring Mr. Haytaian for his dedicated service as the Superintendent and teacher of both the Sunday Schools and a tribute to Mrs. Haytaian for her teaching contributions and being Ass. Superintendent of the Sunday School, alongside the end-of-year (ամավերչի հանդեսՕ performance by the Armenian school students. The excitement was palpable as everyone diligently prepared for the occasion.

At the end of Badarak, Dn. Chris led the students to a special ceremony where they were honored by Fr. Daniel and Mr. Haytaian. Der Hayr blessed the graduates, and Mr. Haytaian presented them with diplomas and wished them well in their future endeavors. In recognition of Mr. Haytaian and Mrs. Haitayan’s long-standing service, Der Hayr behalf of the Parish Council and St. Stepanos church family presented Mr. John and Marie Haytaian with a commemorative plaque.

Following the ceremony, everyone ascended to the Church’s Hall for a lavish lunch, prepared by the parents of the Armenian and Sunday school. After lunch, the students took to the stage in traditional Armenian attire, enhancing the vibrancy of their performances. Each group highlighted the foundational pillars of the Armenian nation—family, language, faith, and homeland—through song, verse, and dance.

The day was filled with surprises for Mr. and Mrs. Haytaian, including a heartfelt video from Father Daniel that showcased their years of dedication to the church and school, followed by student gratitude.

The celebration concluded with the Armenian national anthem, and the teachers were acknowledged with flowers and words of appreciation. The day was a testament to the spirit of community and the collective effort of Father Daniel, Yereckin Mariam, the teachers, and the continuous support from the parents and community members. Everyone is now looking forward to another year of spiritual and academic growth. This successful event was only possible with everyone’s joint effort.
