WG BAKE CHRISTMAS SALE

The St. Stepanos Women’s Guild hosted its annual Christmas Bake Sale on Dec.16, 2018. The hall at St. Stepanos Armenian Church was beautifully decorated for Christmas and very festive for our Holiday Bake Sale.  Even though it rained all day, we were all warm and happy inside.  Those who placed orders ahead of time were able to pick up their orders of lahmajoun, kufta, home made string cheese, soujouk and boorma.  In addition, we had a nice variety of choreg, katah, cookies, paklava and other desserts made by the talented members of the Women’s Guild and church.

There was a fun Holiday Gift Shop for the children to do their Christmas shopping set up and donated by Danielle and Chloe Hovsepian-Chernoff as well as a table of artifacts from Armenia by the Karakashian family and another of handmade jewelry by Tanya Karoon Jewelry.  Everyone enjoyed trying to win the beautiful raffle gifts that were donated by the Parish Council, Women’s Guild, Sunday/Armenian schools, the Karakashian family and Tanya Karoon Jewelry.

A special thank you to Norig Buchakjian and Sharlene Hovsepian for chairing this event. Der Hayr for picking up the Lahmajoun from Mediterranean Kitchen in Philadelphia and Sharlene for picking our orders from Krichian’s Gril Restaurant in Paterson, NJ. We thank also Mrs. Maral Karakashian, Mrs. Linda Patruno and Mrs. Araksi Zohrabian for making Armenian cheese and burma.

The Women’s Guild of St. Stepanos would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work and support and we wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year.
