Parish Assembly 2022

On Sunday, March 13, 2022, we held our Annual Parish Assembly for 2021 ‘year in review.’ We have 103 members who are eligible to vote. There were only 22 dues-paying members who attended the meeting, and while such a number does not constitute a quorum, the Assembly’s Parliamentarian and Parish Council perused section 17 of the by-laws and concluded that an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the eligible members.
All of the regular reports of parish organizations and their leaders were presented and accepted.

The membership, stewardship, leadership, and upcoming plans of all operating church groups were discussed, in addition to the election of the Parish Council and church committee members.
Election results were as follows:
Sossie Najarian, Richard Marrin, Mariam Corrigan, and Andrew Boyajian were elected to serve on the Parish Council for two years.
Mrs. Ashkhen Tadevosyan was elected to serve on the Auditing Committee.
Adrienne McOmber, Dido Krikorian, and Sona Polkowski were elected to serve on the Nominating Committee.

The meeting drew to a close with a discussion addressing the “new business” matters that addressed the topic of committing to our fellowship with those who may be engaged with the Armenian Church and want to strengthen their relationship with the Lord.

The year 2021 was one weird year, but with the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ, for us, it was a very successful year. We achieved most of the goals that were put before our parish. Trust and open lines of communication helped us to achieve them.
Here we would like to thank our Pastor, the Chairperson of the Parish Council Mrs. Sosie Najarian, and all members of the Parish Council, our Women’s Guild, and our Sunday School for their efforts to support the ministry of our church for the benefit of our parishioners. We also thank our Choir director Dr. Terenig Terjanian and all our deacons and choir members for their tireless commitment to the pastoral ministry of St. Stepanos.
